Hoverfly on Nemesia

Another day drifts aimlessly by and it was so frustrating photographically. Cold wet and dark all morning so no real opportunity to get a blip shot. Then gradually some light and warmth returned in the afternoon and I ventured out into the garden to find something to snap... couldn’t for the life of me get anything in focus or not blurred!


Finally got to sit outside and this little hoverfly arrived to flit around the plant on the patio table... I managed one clear(ish) shot...this is the best of a bad bunch. Looks much, much better in large.

Taken with 100mm macro lens + 36mm extension tube and off camera flash.

I have stocked the fridge with a good supply of beer for this evening!
