Flower Friday. : : California Poppy and Lupin

The hospital took over an entire city block to build a massive new medical building and parking lot. This six story mural is on the parking lot. Until we were ordered inside, I drove past this ongoing construction, which began a couple of years ago, at least three times a week, for it is next door to the Pilates studio.

Yesterday I got a letter from my doctor saying that she and her colleagues will be moving into the medical building that adjoins this parking lot next month.

Since we were very near there on our way to Cafe Freida, we detoured around the block to check out the progress. It doesn’t look like it is going to be finished in six weeks, and, in keeping with Santa Rosa’s bland architectural standards, it isn’t a very interesting building, but it is a definite improvement over the old office building across the street which looks like a prison. I do like this cheerful and eye catching mural and thought it would make a nice Flower Friday entry.

We are celebrating Will’s graduation tonight. Jim is cooking dinner and it is cloudy and windy, so I don’t think we will be eating outside. Weird as it is, we might have to eat and run

There are lots of mixed messages coming from the health department as the number of Covid cases continues to rise. After three months of isolation and closed businesses a lot of people are looking for definitive answers to questions about when things will open again. Or they are just taking matters into their own hands and going to the beach or into the streets to demonstrate.

I think the answer is that there are no answers...
