One of the final poppies

This is a Papaver 'Picotee' and it has been blooming near my climbing Hydrangea in an area of the garden that gets the sun first thing but as the sun moves it leaves the area in shadow for the greater part of the day.

It has been a lovely day with spells of warm gusty wind .... now it's raining but not so heavily that the plants get battered.
