Lollipop trees
These trees, or maybe bushes?, found outside the clubhouse at Bidford Grange Golf Club on our walk.
The brooding sky and raking light seemed to accentuate their form and color and that's what caught my eye.
Hopefully all of the trees appear in the photo that I've uploaded as there are eight or nine of them.
Aren't they beautifully coiffured?
Walking around golf courses do present certain dangers such as wayward golf balls of course and players venting their frustrations if you suddenly appear in their line of sight just as they are on their downward swing!
However, golf courses are havens for wildlife with many water features and grass allowed to grow rough at the edges of the fairways and quite a few trees and bushes too.
You can usually find something different and interesting on most visits.
By the way they are public footpaths we are using which were usually there before the golf course.
