Exotic bloom

This stopped me in my tracks - I've no idea what it is, - help Kiwi blippers - but it's very impressive as is the seed head, just glimpsed behind. Very confusing to see snowdrops, narcissus and camellia starting to bloom.

A busy day. The forecast predicted rain all day. None came so we've been helping Joe sort out his workshop ready for the next van conversion, and clear out another large space which he might eventually convert into a sleep out. 

Looks like flights home might be possible around August as Emirates start flying to Dublin from July. Its a terrifying long haul prospect - 17 and a half hours to Dubai from Auckland and than a 7 hour hop to Dublin. I may not have enough drugs!

An encouraging response so far to International Holy Well Day (14th June) - no problem if you have already blipped the well, and you can blip as many as you like, let's say until the 18th June. A good opportunity to go out and explore your 5km or beyond if you are lucky. Just tag INHWD20.
