Abstract Thursday - Changes

One of those days!  Text received saying tap fitting in stock —  very well organised and pleasant staff at Screwfix. Supermarket looked quiet, so as no delivery slots anywhere for about 3 weeks I decided to brave the store.  Not a great experience!  No one way system as in many stores.  No wiping down of trolleys etc, and as for distancing....!  Older people were the worse - wearing masks, getting right up to people, pushing in front of them.  One elderly chap was asked to move back a bit by another shopper and he launched into a tirade about how he was wearing a mask so how could he be a risk to anyone, and they should move not him......hmmmm!  Was glad to get out, and the till system stressed me out too - normally I ,choose the busiest till so that I can get my shopping onto the belt and be ready with my bags.  Now you have to wait until the previous shopper has finished before putting items on the belt, so it is a rush to pack everything.  Not sure I’ll be back any time soon!  Back at home found the tap didn’t fit even though the measurements seemed correct - guessing maybe a change from imperial to metric has made a difference.  Could have used the new tap top if we hadn’t had to drill out the old tap to get it apart!  Oh well, need to sort out a new bathroom, so looks like that will have to be sooner rather than later!
