Flowers in context

I've posted quite a few pictures of the flowers on the balcony as they've developed (yes, I hear you say, you've done this theme to death...). However, I was generally careful not to show too much of the balcony as I was a bit embarrassed about how digustingly green it was. At least until we did our cleaning bit on Saturday. Now - especially on the side where we prefer to sit - it's actually looking in good nick. And after the cleaning, we moved a few of our favourite bits and pieces round this side, into one of the places that has been a happy space during the lockdown. These include a pig, a fish and some sort of weird piece of concrete that was apparently done by student and was given to me by a colleague many years ago. It too was covered in green algae until Saturday. All we need is the sun to return on a durable basis, and the cold wind to go. It was sunny this afternoon for a while, but it was freezing, so I didn't linger outside.

Other than that, as often happens here and there these days, I didn't leave the house. I didn't do much exercise either - just a yoga class this morning and a swift 20 minutes on the exercise bike. I've signed up to do some one to one outdoor exercise with the same personal trainer I used to use, from next week. This will be good for me. And of course it helps a local business.
