Pumpkins

6 pumpkins were planted today, having spent some time on a window sill. They are planted next to the new Navaho Blackberries, and we shall have to control the pumpkins in case they try to overrun their neighbours.  Last year I gave the pumpkins space of their own on the muck heap but only got one fruit, the others burst and rotted.  It gives something extra to look forward to in late autumn.
