Tha Glaschu uaine/ Gasgow is green

On days like today I feel I am on an extended break in one of the most beautiful and diverse cities in Europe. My walk, which started late in the day around 3pm took me through Maxwell Park (where the duck noticeboard informed that the unidentified duck I saw in Rouken Glen yesterday is most probably a Little Grebe), through Bellahouston Park which was the main purpose and then back via the Dumbrek Road entrance to Pollok Park, around 7.5 miles or so.
The blip is the sunken garden which I gather was the basement of the original Dumbreck House. The concrete pillars/blocks seem to be some sort of record of businesses and organisations contributing to what makes Glasgow - many of the inscriptions are no longer there, ones that are include the Bank of Scotland and a hospice. Curious to know more about this and limited info on the web.
The extra blip is the view from the highest point in the park, near to the monument and is just a glorious expanse of green as far south (?) as the eye can see, hence the title of todays blip, which also reflects my continuing commitment to Gaelic.
