Day77/11 Juvenile Pale Chanting Goshawk
What a different day we spent in the Addo National Elephant Park today. The park opened up to visitors this week after being in lockdown. We had to obtain a permit to visit, and strict protocol was followed at the reception area.
We came across only four other cars all morning..no picnicing allowed but we enjoyed our picnic in the car overlooking a waterhole. We saw few animals, only two lone elephants, but many buck, zebras and warthogs.
The bird sighting of this juvenile bird was my sighting of the day..the mature bird was also sitting in the same tree.
It was wonderful having the park to ourselves, and even though we saw few animals, it was a special day. (I'm having computer problems and can't upload the extras I wanted to)
I think the strong wind that was blowing made the animals shelter in the bush.
Grateful today for having this amazing animal park nearby enough for a day visit.
