Virus Shmirus
Alf and I should be sitting in a field in France now. We should have spent the travelling in convoy with friends, having a jolly good time.
We should be drinking beer and catching up with people we only see at this special time of year.
Alf and I should be at Le Mans.
However, we are not, we are at home in the rain (although it is tipping it down at Le Mans). Clearly I can appreciate this is a small thing compared to the terrible losses that some people have suffered, but I'm still very annoyed. I might have to have a beer to commiserate.
The race has been postponed until September, I do wonder if they will be able to run it then, and if they do will they let 250,000 people camp out and watch? We shall see.
When I took the Jag out last week it informed me that it was due a service. I had booked one but due to the aforementioned virus it had been cancelled. I finally managed to get through to the dealers today, it's booked in but not until early July, seems they can only service 5 cars per day now whereas it was 35 before lockdown.
