Fern

Pretty damp and miserable so hardly ventured out all day, just a wee shopping trip for essentials (milk, beer, wine, Polish sausages, rye flour ...) and that was it. What to do? Certainly nothing from the ‘must do’ list that’s for sure, so finished a book, started another, cut out interesting recipes from an ancient pile of Guardian supplements (you never know, might try the odd one sometime) and then turned to long overdue fish tank and goldfish bowl maintenance. The fish tank first, a water change and some drastic thinning of the underwater jungle. After which we discovered a fourth baby swordtail. It’s half the size of its siblings and must have been too scared to come out from the jungle until now. Looks like another female is pregnant too so we’ll have to find a good swordtail home soon! We only have one goldfish these days so there were no surprises there.
The fern is a late, emergency blip of course. That’s obvious!
