Vik on the walk

V joined me on my lunchtime constitutional .  It’s become essential to my energy and mental health to stride out for half an hour or so over the lunchtime hour.  I find the Apple Watch very useful for setting the targets and measuring how I’m doing.  I walk first thing with the dog and at the end of the day as well and try and do long phone calls moving about.  If I don’t have a companion I am listening to books and podcasts again (sometimes I just walks) and am obsessed with Melissa Harrison’s The Stubborn Light of Things - thoughts on a weekly walk in Suffolk with the Times nature writer that includes poetry and readings from Gilbert White. Really worth seeking out if you haven’t.....
