Lady’s Slipper Orchid?

Oh dear! If you look back to 24/05/2016 you can see this orchid in all it’s stunning glory.
Two years of spring drought and the retirement of it’s chief carer have seen a sad decline in the Gait Barrows Slipper orchids.
We looked at all the sites and found a dozen very small shoots, at least a month later than normal. These we watered and will hope that they make some growth, and store some substance for next year.
It has been a project running for two decades and very sad to see them looking like this. Perhaps we are in time?
