FLAMING JUNE

This is the only approximation to "Flaming June" that I can get today, deep into the heart of a tulip. Otherwise it was too cold and wet to go out and anyway we were waiting for news that our car was ready to collect (which didn't come until 5.30pm). It needed a service and MOT and we abandoned the deal we paid for two years ago with the dealership in Middlesbrough (and weren't very happy with last year) and went to a garage two minutes walk from home which has very good reviews. All the right distancing and safety procedures were in place and there are only a couple of fairly minor things adrift that we have to watch out for . And it's done, so we don't have to worry about the permitted extension to the MOT that was announced at the beginning of lockdown and whether that affects the insurance.

Maybe tomorrow I'll get out of the house again.
