Fly by night

A friend came over today so that we could go for a walk at the local nature reserve (socially distanced of course)
There were a few more visitors than normal on a wet day because a rare warbler is paying a visit but we didn’t see too many people (and didn’t see the warbler either)

My photos are still on the camera waiting to be downloaded but I liked this fly. They are an annoying abomination inside the house but why are such amazing colours when you get close to them
