A Mooth Foo o Eels

Another stunning day of sunshine.  A bit cool this morning when clouds passed, but warmed up.  A tad breezy.

Up early, and headed down to the Croft House Museum.  Another day clearing out the old peat stack.  I headed to the peat hill after tea, and mam came by and gave a hand too.  Feet up now.

I had to drop off an item at the Fair Isle ferry terminal at Grutness, and then headed up the hill for a lunchtime walk.  As I approached the head, there was puffins, and a few hundred of them.  Still never the numbers there used to be, but great to see them looking healthy.  This peerie puffin had just returned from sea, with a mouth full of sand eels.  He didn't mind me snapping a few photos, and then this is him heading into his burrow.  Taken at Sumburgh Head.
