Open Wide

I have been watching a Woodpecker nest for a week or so now. Up until now, I've only heard the cheeps from inside the tree trunk and seen the parents fly in and out. Now there is obviously no room and this means I got to see the source of all the cheeping.
As a bonus, I found another nest but the parents were too aware of my presence so I moved on.
Short walk today and poor weather but lots of wildlife to see.
Removed two ticks from my leg to complete the nature trail....
