Pair

Nicely illustrating the difference between female (left) and male Azure damselflies, this pair arranged themselves well.

There was a bit of sun first thing, but by the time I got out for my walk it was dull and fairly cool. I found a quite a few moths including Cinnabar, Chimney Sweeper, Brown Silver-line, Common Carpet and several smaller ones I've yet to identify, but only a couple of Meadow Brown to represent the butterfly world.

A fleeting glimpse of a Tawny Owl, flushed from a tree I was walking under, was my other highlight.
