Transformation and Toes

Oh, and I've found the nearest open Portuguese border crossing to Santander (Vila Formoso), and have booked a hotel for the night we arrive (well, we won't be arriving till after midnight, but not allowed to sleep in Spain) - surely they're not going to cancel in less than a week??

Gratefuls:
- finding the recipe online for Paul's favourite cake (a torte, really, just solid chocolate, very yummy) - another birthday coming up... never thought I'd need my recipe book on this trip
- the friendly, cheerful cashier on my visit to Sainsbury's
- in season British strawberries with New York cheesecake for dessert
