Astrantia

A fine morning but the afternoon turned cloudy and quite a bit colder. I was keeping my fingers crossed that the rain would stay away long enough for my gardening boys to complete the tasks I had for them.

It has been so warm and dry that my grass has hardly grown in the last two weeks so today that job was put on the back burner. Pyracantha, 2 cotoneasters and my viburnum bodentase all got a good hair cut and are now looking very neat and tidy .... can't say that about my own hair!

One of my astrantias is just beginning to flower but I think I have lost my dark red variety ..... no sign of any foliage :-((
