Magic Scones

Today I decided that I would like a cream and jam scone for my tea and inspired by Annieone I decided to make some. Today’s picture is of the scones as they went into the oven.
 
The ones I have made are the same recipe as Annieone but slightly different proportions as I also found them in my “Three Ingredient Baking” book, where they are called Magic Scones. I used gluten free self-raising flour so they will be slightly denser than when using normal flour. I had intended to put in some sultanas, but after they had gone into the oven I noticed the unopened packet of sultanas still on the work surface!    You might notice that one is bigger than the rest. The recipe said it made ten, but I had cut out eleven then noticed I had enough to make two more. I was not going to make thirteen so one is larger. They look okay although they did not brown very much; I am sure that, loaded with butter, jam and cream they will be fine.

The temperature was fifteen degrees Celsius at GMT noon; another overcast day.
