Beauty and the Beast

The blue geranium is dying down for winter, but it managed one last flower for the season. It has been flowering for about eight months. I’m keeping it in the greenhouse next to the Aloe plant (not Aloe vera).

Today I weeded the asparagus bed. It has been invaded by peppermint, which is difficult to remove because the roots are mixed up with the asparagus roots. I can’t dig it out for fear of damaging the asparagus roots. Pulling isn’t really very effective, but has to do.
