Its the Way It Is

Dublin and London

I had a swim in an almost tinfoil aluminium sea and sky.   They blended in together.   It was a soft morning but still cool (12 degrees outside), so no long lingering to chat after swim.   Need to get moving by brisk walk to feel warm again.

After my swim, I checked my phone to discover my daughter had sent me photos from her London commute.   She is working locum shifts in vet practice in south London.  The extra is an empty Waterloo Station, plus the train interior which she snapped at exactly 8.10am this morning - normally I would imagine this to be the thick of rush hour.    These photos are amazing surely.   She has sent me photos prior to Covid of London at 7.30am and the comparison is quite astonishing.  But interesting nonetheless.

She likes me to send her images of the sea as she enjoys sea swimming also.

I like this blip as it shows both our realities in how we are starting our day
