Shorn!

The sheep up here are better groomed than the humans. We get shaggier by the day .. but these smart ladies have had a visit from the shearer and are looking at their most pristine. 

It's a pity the sunshine isn't going to last, they will be shivering by Wednesday. 

We went to Hawick to pick up our food supplies for the next two weeks. We had to buy potatoes, last year's crop are finally finished. 

That and a bit more weeding, some laundry and the baking of a banana loaf were the main events of my day. 

TM cut the outside of the beech hedge and tinkered with the tractor, to no avail. It is overheating. He has to cut half the field then leave it to cool down before he tackles the other half. It's not a problem, there are very few deadlines in our current existence. I'm becoming lazier by the day.
