My lovely Grace
Daughter Grace and I had a long, late chat last night.
After debating issues arising from events in Bristol over the weekend (which indirectly involve her school) - around the Black Lives Matter protests, we then discussed a lot of possible and hopeful plans for the future, more directly for us as a family than for the whole of the city (though we fully acknowledge the importance of changes there too, some of which have been long discussed over the years we have been visiting).
It seemed appropriate therefore today to blip one of our three Grace roses which is just starting to flower. It’s only the second rose to flower this year, the other is a climber (Maigold) which is always early and has been flowering for some time.
The little squirrel has been back for most of the morning eating the droppings from the feeders and, apart from being amazed at the amount it eats, we’re a little concerned for his safety from predatory cats. It does run off if we go out but not immediately and not if we bang on the window.
We have stayed in all day waiting for the delivery of the new freezer. 13.49 was mentioned by someone with such a strong accent I failed to catch much else, but we are still waiting.
It did mean I was in for the Monday sing this morning. Personal choice of the last 3 songs was down to Corinthian column and R and very entertaining was their introduction too!
Stay safe everyone.
