Mr Cardinal Take 3

Cardinals are almost always elusive (at least in my yard) and tend to perch just out of site in the Leyland Cyprus trees. We got a brief round of snow flurries and this guy came out on the end of the branch and started singing away. I started taking pictures at 30 feet away and kept snapping as I S-L-O-W-L-Y approached him.

Mr C was about 15 feet away when I took this picture. .. Emily (my 17 year old beagle/dachshund) came up behind me at that point and started barking. I had hoped to get a closer shot but am still quite happy with how this turned out.

Afternoon plans: A nap, then perhaps go out for a bite to eat, then a date with the couch and the TV later on...
