Swinging on a Stamen

Love in the Mist (nigella damascena) is blooming everywhere at the botanical gardens.  Unfortunately, there were people everywhere as well.  I should have known better than to go there on the weekend.  Everyone had their masks and tried to keep their distance, but I couldn't relax and enjoy taking photos while worrying about people coming near me.  So I left,  but not before I got a few decent shots.   I do really love this flower.  

The humidity and heat of yesterday have gone and today has been a delight.  Looking forward to a glass of wine and dinner in our summer home (what we affectionately call our screened porch).
