Balls of steel.

Well iron, a finial atop a stone gatepost at the entrance to old Carriden churchyard. The graveyard is small but hosts a few notables, military heroes including Colonel James Gardiner who met a fairly grizzly end, and industrialists. A few iron headstones too. A nice spot to start a walk with the dog along the John Muir Way during the day. Judging by the detritus in the car park it is a nocturnal spot for an entirely different sort of dogging.
