Overwhelmed

These lilies on the high street outside the empty property risk being overwhelmed by weeds and other plants but they still look good in that context. It has been another cool day.  After the Zoom service, I packed a few bags before heading off for what was supposed to be a meet up the children and grandchildren in the garden.  It was not a day for that so we had a socially distanced chat and a sneak peek at their new kitchen and then headed off home. The plants have shot up with the recent rain, showing far more vigour even than when I was watering them copiously.
