Morning walk

It’s such a shame Cragside is closed as the rhododendrons will be lovely. We had a 5 mile walk from the house to the carriage drive (above) and round the moor.

I had to have a bath to warm up after the walk. The heating has been on all day. We seem to have moved seamlessly from spring to autumn.

We’ve given up on Spooks and gone for Hamish McBeth and Gary Tank Commander for our evening viewing. We seem to feel the need for gentle humour. And oddly, they are both Scottish. I don’t know what that’s saying. If the daughters didn’t live in the north east we’d be thinking of moving back.
