godfrey

here is the very reluctant model, godfrey mwashi.

godfrey isn't just a great friend, he's also brilliant at fixing cars. and friends like that are definitely good to have around.

there have been times when i have chatted with godfrey about my ideas for work programmes and he has always been amazing at giving really good, sound advice. he doesn't always tell me what i want to hear and challenges me to do things better. he is probably one of the most fair, loyal and trustworthy people i know.

he's also one of the several people who have tried, and failed, to teach me bemba.

i'll miss hanging out with godfrey, going for ice-cream and playing with his gorgeous little brothers and sisters. but i know i have a genuine friend for life, and that's ace.



(i'm taking a break from my normal blipping routine and from now until i leave i will be posting portraits of the people that i love here in zambia. i might put them all together at the end to make a mammoth picture to hang on my wall, but mostly they will stay here on blip so i can remember these lovely people.)
