The top lock

This is the last of the Five Rise Locks on The Leeds to Liverpool Canal in Bingley. They are a set of 5 staircase locks where the lock chambers are joined together rather than being separated by pounds or pools of water. The staircase raises the canal 59 ft 2 in (18.03 m) over a distance of 320 ft (98 m).

As you can tell from the photo, I was blessed with a beautiful evening for my walk.
