Strange creature

I think it may be a form of stick insect but not sure. Any ideas?

I came across it when chatting to Soul who was back with us for the first time since lockdown.

He seemed pretty pleased with the work Arnie had done to keep the garden in check during his absence. Arnie on the other hand was very happy to see the master back to take over. Sadly Soul has lost a client who has been retrenched as a result of the lockdown. This seems to be the case all over the world. The knock on is affecting so many people.
