Long way round....

....gorgeous day in gorgeous Cheshire today.

After a lazy start, we went out to explore Little Budworth and Cotebrook. We found a round walk in one of our many books. As it wasn't particularly well written - and I emphasise that there was nothing wrong with my navigation skills - we ended up walking at least 7 miles instead of the quoted 4 and a bit!
We didn't mind, it was such a glorious day and we wouldn't have come across this beautiful little lake.

We popped into oulton park on the way back. It was public racing today and its fun to watch all sorts of cars and their crazy owners on the track. I was rooting for the galaxy people carrier....it seemed the odd one out, not having a stuck on spoiler. ;-)

Great day...now for a cosy evening in with my husband a bottle of wine.
