February Daily Challenge - Today's Weather

Day 2 of KaliBug's February daily challenge - Feb. 2nd: Today's weather, with a bit of MissyMoo's February daily challenge mixed in (Pattern: Look around and see where you can find pattern in your day. Is it in something you're wearing? In a rug you come across in your travels? On some wallpaper, a book or something else?).

The weather forecast for today was for sunshine first thing, then clouding over with sunny intervals, and it was right. Sunny at this time of the year also means chilly. Having been watching the forecast to see if I could get out to take some snaps I got up early for a Saturday so that I could get a couple of things done before heading off to Cambridge.

I wanted to return to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge where they have a number of scupltures in front of their building, including Helaine Blumenfeld's The Space Within, which is among the sculptures in yesterdays blip. The light wasn't right for that but I still got some other shots.

For the challenge today to show both hard shadows from the sunshine for the weather and also some patterns I have one of my shots of Cleopatra (2011), also by Helaine Blumenfeld. Converted to mono and selenium toned using Silver Efex.
