Who says they don't go together well? I'm having a lot of fun playing with these ingredients :)

After a full day yesterday (two workshops and a protest...), I decided to cool my heels at home.  Just as well as the temps and humidity hit summer-like records and it was really uncomfortable out.

I was thinking about the huge protests downtown DC today and hoping all would be well (both in terms of the heat and in terms of police action). I love the mayor of DC: she's been at odds with Trump a number of times but especially now, over how he wants protesters handled and about his own racist undertones (did I mention that Mme Mayor is African American?) :)  So she got back at him in a very clever way: she authorized a "mural" painted on a two-city block long road and renamed the stretch of road "Black Lives Matter Plaza".  The road leads straight into the White House and the address of the WH now is "1600 Black Lives Matter Plaza." And there isn't a thing Dear Leader can do about it :))))
