Alstroemeria

We ventured out to three different stores today, all in the same quadrant of town. The  UPS store and the hardware store weren’t crowded, but they didnt feel particularly safe to me—too much touching of surfaces, no hand sanitizer available, and people wearing masks artfully draped under their noses. The garden store, however, got A+. Good distancing, lots of masks, very careful payment processing, including wiping down your credit card as they return it to you. We picked up two very strong tomato cages, a 6-pack of lettuce and some seeds. It was so nice to be at this locally owned neighborhood place; I really haven’t been to much of anywhere for a long long time, so it was quite a big deal. We’ve known the owners and staff for years, and ran into a couple friends there as well, all in the space of a few minutes.
