Lockdown Day 76 - One of the Natives

Before the invasion of the Harlequin Ladybird, this was the most common UK ladybird and it still is here in Fife.

This individual is still in its larval form and isn't yet adorned with its seven spots that give it its name. By the look of it though, it is about to pupate so it won't be long now.

Seven-spot ladybird, Coccinella septempunctata.
