Poplar hawk moth
Seeing as my moth trap is providing some Hawk moths at the moment I though i would continue with the theme.
This is the Poplar hawk, which looks quite drab until it goes to fly, and the russet colour under wings come into play!
It is fairly common in the south of the UK and I catch at least one most years.
