85th Corona diary entry / phase 2

Another lovely morning swim at our beautiful beach before 9 am. The wind keeps the waters mixed up, so it felt bit chilly this morning too, but I went in and enjoyed the coolness after a sweaty night.

The temperatures has reached 30°C in the shade today too. Tonight will be tropical again. It won't go below 22°C.

Monday will bring much awaited storms and day temps will drop to whopping 25°C! But at least it will be cloudy and the rain will hopefully bring some freshness. It's hard to believe we are in early June and it's already August like.

I managed to nap a bit this afternoon, which did a world of good to me. After that we went for a 7km walk up the sierra next to us. It was 28°C and sunny. This weather does not support wish to exercise. It's getting harder and harder.

Out 7km around the sierra was done in near complete isolation. We saw only one guy sitting in shade taking a break. During the phase 1 when we had the time slots to go out, I got used to seeing lots of people there during the weekend mornings. Now it's like being in dessert.

The dogs (gods) also go only for a quick pee during the day and before the hottest hours. They start the walk with great joy and after few minutes they are panting and looking at the way back home. No arguments when we quickly head back to home.

At least they have not lost their appetites like we have. It's just too hot to eat. So we drink. A lot. Most of our fridge content is water. Cold water. :-)
