Shinrin yoku
Today the weather is awful. Rain and cold are back and I've got my winter woolly on. You can keep dry under the trees, and the sound of rain on the leaf canopy can be comforting. You know, "ha, you can't get me under here."
The light was terrible, though, and I couldn't get a decent shot on today's dog walk, so here's one from a couple of days ago.
According to what I hope is a reliable source, shinrin yoku in Japanese means "forest bathing", walking among trees in order to relax. Mindfulness, you might say, though you have to put your mind to it.
