Xena's first birthday

Today is Xena's first birthday - not that she knew anything about it! It was much cooler today and we even had rain for the first time in a long while. We had a lovely 6km walk this morning while it was still dry and sunny.

After lunch I took some photos of Xena - some outside but then it was raining so I took the rest of them inside. She was very good as she clearly did not like wearing her silly birthday hat and bib yet she was very tolerant. I like this photo as she seems bored with all of it, almost as if she is resigned to posing for photos with the ridiculous hat on her head! As a reward she ate some of her cake after the photo session, which she really enjoyed. Some extras too

Today is also Frida's birthday, such a coincidence that their birthdays are on the same day. Happy birthday to the lovely Frida!

We have had workmen here all day repairing the water feature in the garden - it has been leaking and after many attempts by Gavin to fix it over the years since we have lived here, we finally decided to get it lined with fibreglass. It was either that or to remove it.

A quiet evening tonight, I am enjoying season 4 of This Is Us on Prime TV.
