Patterns in the Chalk Pond

Took a long morning walk between Letcombe Regis and Letcombe Bassett, taking in the Nature Reserve.  There is plenty of water in the ponds; but the weather has been so still that the water is clearer than it has been for a long time, and the patterns in the silt in the base of the Letcombe Brook chalk pond were striking.
