SILK PANELS

I made the panel, second from left, depicting the Line Dance classes I ran in the community centre. Although I retired several years ago, the silk panels are still up on the wall. There is a panel for the Mother and Baby Group, one for Life Drawing classes and another for Circle Folk Dancing. A teacher helped us with the layers of silk which we tacked in place and she then machined  our designs together. I made a Western theme with a coyote howling at the moon, a cactus and some dancing characters. The effect of several layers of fine silk was lovely in daylight.
