Poppy

A friend on Facebook posted photos of a poppy field near Basingstoke, along with some directions. So today I completed the chores (the walls in my small bedroom are finally stripped of old wallpaper which I have been attacking for weeks!) and headed out to investigate.

The field almost in the "middle of nowhere"  was sown by the Wildflower Turf Society, who specialise in products for establishing wild flower meadows.  It was in full bloom and looking glorious, especially after some much needed showers.  More in extras.
