Day 24: Beside the River...

Day 24 of Alert Level 2. And we have had 15 days without any new cases of Covid-19. Maisie and I were out walking a little later than usual this morning. I still needed to wear and use a headlamp most of the way. The Taylor River is running its full length again after months with sections of it hibernating down under the shingle surface of the river bed. This particular stretch is where, until a few days ago, I was able to walk across with dry feet from one bank to the other. We’ve had a cloudy chilly day and this evening a cold southerly front has swept up the east coast bringing rain here in Blenheim and snow to low levels in the south.
