The Dreamy Kanimbla

In western Blackheath, the valley that we look into is "The Kanimbla". At this time of year on a pleasant day, the quality of the light can be really "dreamy". None of the other valleys is positioned correctly to compete in this respect and so I like to get pictures every now and then to bask in the afternoon glow. Try LARGE.

Eagle eyed observers of exif will note that I am using a new camera. I am sure that many of you already own one. I was the first person I know to buy into the Olympus OMD system but that was more than 7 years ago, now. My original E-M5 is still a sweet unit, works perfectly, hasn't offered any trouble at all but has laboured hard. My knowledge of modern electronic tools suggests that I am living a charmed life and ought not to push my good fortune.

Right now the E-M5 mk II is selling (still brand new) for a song - less than half the cost of the mk III model, introduced last year. I figure that the time to strike is now, lest I find myself needing to shell out $1000 more in (say) 6 months time when the mk IIs are all long gone. Anyway the new body is all set up, customised and a joy to use. My old buddy E-M5 mk I, has now earned a gracious semi retirement of back-up duties.
