St Ives Estate

I did my usual circuit of the estate and the photo is of the path leading back down to Coppice Pond. I had thought of travelling into The Dales for my walk but I always seem to get drawn to St Ives. I just feel comfortable and connected with the place plus, once you leave the parking and pond areas, you see next to nobody.

The cygnets are getting bigger by the day and they are all intact. Also I think they possibly had their first taste of rain in their short lives because it absolutely threw it down for a time. It felt quite refreshing having rain on my face once again. I can’t remember the last time we had any proper rain!
