The New Normal

We wouldn’t normally give our children worksheets. Our learning is almost all play-based. Most of the time, reception children don’t even realise they are learning because they feel like they are playing games. At the moment it’s just not possible to have the amount of equipment out that we would normally have because of the risk of cross infection so we have had to move to learning through PowerPoints and then doing worksheets. It’s actually good practice for when they move up to year 1. but not all of our children are quite ready for that sort of work yet so it’s hard for them.
It’s been very cold and wet. I’m still trying to warm up.
